In previous episode of LINE Naver’s CF micro drama, we see Lee Min Ho sent off the confession sticker “I Love U” accidentally to Bea Hayden Kuo so how is he going about to rectify this mistake? Let us find out in this episode as HB Entertainment and LINE continue to feed us their cute love story.
MINI RECAP OF EPISODE 2
The episode picks up at where it left off in episode 1, Min Ho leans on his sport car fussing about how to undo the mistake caused by his pet dog, Brown. He decides to use Brown as the excuse so he LINEs Ling Ling (Bea Hayden) saying that it was Brown who says “I Love U”. He then drives off saying to his dog, “Brown, Hyung is so dead…”. Hahaha!
While he is composing diligently, he gets a message from Ling Ling asking if that sticker was from Brown to Cony. *Eyes-rolling* at the silly conversation! Anyway let’s just roll with it, shall we? Funny point to note: Min Ho tells Brown it got dumped by Cony when Ling Ling sent a stucked out tongue sticker of Cony in response to Brown’s I Love U sticker. With this, both sides successfully cover up the awkwardness.
Ling Ling then asks Min Ho to send her the melody he played when they first met. Min Ho of course happily complied but first he decides to show off his Mandarin Chinese by sending her a voice message that means ‘gift to you’ (and thus showing us the LINE voice message feature). Ling Ling is very taken with his sexy-but-forever-blocked-sinus-voice and the melody. She responds that she loves it and Min Ho lets out his proud and geeky laughs.
It is safe to assume that the two went on back and forth flirting through LINE the whole night and the next morning we find Min Ho deep asleep on the sofa. He gets woken up with a notification and he jumps up to check his phone but he sees no message. Disappointed he rests his head on the sofa cushion and thus showing off his sexy Adam’s apple again. Then he hears the notification so he checks his phone again. Nothing. Soon he realizes it was his door bell as Bummie knocks on the door yelling for him to open it. He sighs in annoyance and refuses to open the door. Bummies walks in anyway as mostly he is just knocking the door out of courtesy, lol.
Bummie is happy to know that Min Ho is composing again and likes the song he heard but Min Ho tells him he’s not planning to publish that song. Just as Bummie questions his sanity, he gets a real notification from the phone and he ushers Bummie out of the house with the reason that he is going to start working again. Hmph, you sure?
It is raining over at Ling Ling’s end so she sends the raining clip recorded with LINE’s Snap Movie to Min Ho. This in return inspires Min Ho into another round of music composition as he replays the raining clip which he projects onto the wall. He continues to play the melody in his head on the grand piano while reminiscing the time when they both first met.
Min Ho sends the new melody to Ling Ling and she happily shows off to her Cony doll wearing the silly ‘I am in love’ smile on her face. She then hugs Cony doll and confesses she thinks she has fallen for Min Ho.
Late at night as Ling Ling prepares herself for bed, Min Ho LINE her asking if she is asleep. She tells him she has lit up a candle and is listening to his music. Min Ho asks with anticipation what she thinks of it and she says she likes it very much. Min Ho is delighted! Cue: a round of ego boosted! Heh!
He then decides to video call her but that sends Ling Ling into a frantic mode as she worries she is not looking decent at that moment. While she fussed over her looks and letting the phone rings too long, Min Ho decides to end the call. She then excuses that she’s too sleepy and requests Min Ho to call her the next day. Min Ho doesn’t push it even though he very much misses her and wants to see her. He wishes her good night while she smiles happily thinking about him.
The scene then shifts to Ling Ling slowly moving backwards and sideway as if she’s about to lie on her bed only to see that she is leaning onto Min Ho’s shoulder as we reach the end of episode 2.
Well, nothing much really goes on in this episode other than watching 11 minutes of the two main leads taking turn in courtship by flirting with the use of one of the most used mobile messaging app LINE. *Laugh*
It’s cute and it also brings back memory to the time where I am sure everyone goes through – the lovely time where both sides are starting to fall in love with one another but hasn’t quite reached the stage where they confirmed their feelings. They are above friendship but not quite in a relationship. I think this is actually the most interesting and exciting stage of a budding love relationship as it comprises of so much sweetness, silliness, cuteness, uncertainty, pain, fear, happiness and so many more other emotions. It is also a stage whereby two people willingly do the things they never thought they would do or not like to do – all in the name and power of budding/new love.
Once again the CF has smartly incorporated and introduced LINE’s 2-3 features in this episode without viewers finding it too obvious or choppy. The app itself has improved tremendously over a short period of time and is quickly becoming the most popular and strong messaging app in my opinion as compared to the well-known Whatsapp. The most alluring feature LINE possess (to me) is definitely the vast varieties of LINE stickers available for purchase or for free. They are lovely and useful to use and it liven up a bland conversation.
